You Have a Choice

Always, always, the power is in your hands

How often do we complain about things and not do anything about it?

How often do we feel like we ‘have’ to do something?

How often do we do things because we feel we ‘should’?

Stop. Drop it. No more shoulds, no more ‘have to’. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in what we think our responsibilities or roles are, or to feel like we don’t have a choice. But take a moment to evaluate everything that you do. Do you do it because you have to? Or because you WANT to?

We want to cultivate more of things that we WANT to do. Our lives should be filled with more of things that brings us joy and enjoyment. I acknowledge that life is not perfect and many of us are not in a position to feel like we can say no to certain things but remember, we always have a choice.

Maturity is when you stop complaining and making excuses, and start making changes.― Roy T. Bennett

We have a choice to attend to our own needs, to say no assertively.

We have a choice to create space for ourselves, our minds and what we want to bring in our life.

We have a choice to make small changes in our life.

We have a choice to put that phone away for 30mins.

We have a choice to commit to our passions for 30mins daily.

We have a choice to be who we want to be.
